Common questions

Is NetSight free?
Yes. All tools are free for personal and non-commercial use. The public API has generous rate limits without any signup.
Do you log queries or IPs?
We don't sell data or attach identifiers to queries. Short-term caching stores public lookup answers to reduce load on upstream providers.
Where does the data come from?
IP geolocation from IPGeolocation, abuse reputation from AbuseIPDB and Scamalytics, certificate transparency from crt.sh, threat intel from VirusTotal, URLhaus and ThreatFox.
Can I use the API in my app?
Yes. See the API reference for every endpoint and current rate limits. Attribution is appreciated but not required for non-commercial use.
